These catalogues contain information on datasets and data structure, their use, data administrator etc. The owner of the information is always the institution which created them, regardless if the institution is part of the private sector or a non-govermental organisation. The owner of all information within the public information system is the state.

STANDARDIZED PLATFORM FOR DATA DISTRIBUTION Basic characteristics of the component IO-MODULE: • enables the institutions to create their data distribution system on MPA infrastructure a special protected area is provided, where the institution (data owner) keeps its distribution database - updated copy of their data • many different technical possibilities for refreshing the contents of the distribution database • each institution is responsible for the contents of their distribution database and for the access control (transaction log) • standard enquiries by one key data (e.g. personal ID number), possibility of specialized search methods • data from the distribution copy are synchronously available to the users, through the common application module (24/7, reliability, availability, speed) • data owner retains necessary control over the data according to the personal data protection rules • extreme flexibility, fast and simple adding of a new enquiring system, simple atribute selection for specific users and purposes, simple adding of a new data source within the IO-module (access possible exclusively within the government HKOM network)

SOVD

Big file exchange system

The system SOVD is designed for transfer of large files (up to 10 GB) in a simple, secure and reliable way. The process starts when the 'sender' uploads the file into the central SOVD system. The 'receiver' gets notified by e-mail where he can find the link for the download. If the sender has protected the file with the password, the receiver gets that password via separate mail or SMS. The system also performs antivirus scan and in case of and viruses found, it denies the transfer. The senders must be registered, they must have a qualified digital certificateand they have to be inside the governmental private network HKOM. The receivers don't have such restrictions - they can also be outside HKOM anywhere on the internet, they don't need a digital certificate and they don't need to be registered. The file is only temporarily stored in the system (normaly 7 days), after that time it is automatically deleted. While it is in the system, it is encrypted. For the advanced users, the system also alows the file exchange via webservices.

eTax - electronic tax operations

eTax is an online service for electronic business with the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia. Through eTaxes, taxpayers receive electronically served documents of the Financial Administration of the Republic of Slovenia (eg decisions, decrees etc.), and have the option of submitting fiscal forms in a comfortable, safe, simple and low cost way via the Internet. Forms in electronic form are always in accordance with the applicable legislation. eTaxes allow for quick entry of data into tax forms and transfer of documents between information systems of taxpayers and FURS.

The eCarina Portal is designed to increase the effectiveness of customs control and ensure the continuous flow of data.
