These catalogues contain information on datasets and data structure, their use, data administrator etc. The owner of the information is always the institution which created them, regardless if the institution is part of the private sector or a non-govermental organisation. The owner of all information within the public information system is the state.

Data Map - prototype aplication

The prototype of the Data Map application was developed as part of a pilot project of the same name in cooperation with the OPSI portal (Slovenia Open Data Portal) and is an extension of the OPSI catalogue of public sector information. The Data Map provides an enriched understanding of data sources and the data they contain. The Data Map helps to understand how data are interlinked, their meaning, the refresh rate, etc., and it allows for an overview and exploration of the data structures of the data sources as well. It is designed to facilitate the exploration, discovery and access to data sources that are further used, for example, to design public services and other tools and applications for public administrations, citizens and businesses. The tool provides a general overview of the data landscape based on descriptions of data sources according to semantic standards (RDF-based), allowing inter-comparability and interoperability. The overview is provided in a form of a graph, allowing the user to efficiently and transparently search for related data across sources. In addition to the overview of the global schema of the Data Map, which contains all types of description categories and properties used to describe the datasets in the Data Map, it also allows the overview of the schemas of selected sources and data structures (the available data model). Citizens, companies and organisations are interested in the data as end-users and can freely use the published data or check the conditions for access and use of other protected public sector information. In this way, we aim to strengthen interoperability between public administrations and encourage the use of data for commercial, non-commercial or research purposes.

General Terms of Use of eSamonarocanje information solution

The General Terms of Use of the eSamonarocanje (e-Appointment-Booking) Information Solution regulate the relationship between the Operator of the eSamonarocanje Information Solution and the User of the eSamonarocanje Information Solution IS eSamonarocanje, both in terms of the usage of the information solution itself and with regard to the processing of personal data. Within this framework, the obligations of the Operator of IS eSamonarocanje and the User of IS eSamonarocanje are defined concerning the fulfillment of responsibilities in joint data management. The Operator of IS eSamonarocanje and the User of IS eSamonarocanje shall enter into a specific Agreement on the Use of eSamonarocanje for the purpose of determining custodians, mutual obligations, communication procedures, agreed availability levels, and responsiveness. The General Terms constitute an appendix to the Agreement and, as such, are an integral part thereof, unless specified otherwise in the Agreement, indicating that certain parts of the General Terms do not apply, in which case the parties to the agreement shall mutually agree otherwise.

GeoHub-SI

- GeoHub-SI is a GIS portal that provides a platform for publishing space-related content in the form of GIS services and applications intended for the internal or general public. - It is intended for access to services, applications and spatial data provided by state institutions. - It is based on the state cloud computing infrastructure (DRO) provided by the Ministry of Public Administration, which is also responsible for the uniform development of common information solutions in the state administration, so those state institutions that have the right to use DRO services can publish on the portal. The DRO and the operation of the central information and communication system are provided by the Ministry of Public Administration, which is the manager of the ITK infrastructure of the state administration and takes care of the uniform development of common information solutions in the state administration.

SKRINJA - Business Intelligence in the civil service (BI)

Skrinja (Chest) is a business intelligence and data warehouse system developed and managed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Users can interactively view and process data in real time with powerful visualizations. This way, data can be used to influence better use of existing staff, better planning, and decision-making in the long term. It is designed as a horizontal service for users of the civil service. It includes public sector salaries (over 2000 budget users with over 750 types of payments), public procurement data, common system code lists and data on administrative procedures carried out by administrative units. A mobile Chest for viewing data on mobile devices and an online Chest for viewing public procurement data on the World Wide Web are also operational. The connection of new data sources from different public authorities is in preparation, as the interest in analytical decision support among public authorities is high. We are also developing predictive analytics as a basis for algorithmic processing. The Chest system has been awarded several times. In 2020, it received the e-Service of Public Administration award of the Slovenian Society of Informatics and in 2022 was a finalist of Moving Forward for the best improvement in public administration competition of the UL Faculty of Administration.
