SYSTEM FOR STANDARDIZED MANAGEMENT OF USERS AND THEIR RIGHTS

Basic characteristics of the common building block SECURITY PLATFORM:
• access control for applications and their functionalities
• support for physical users (persons) and system users (applications, systems)
• authentication: all slovenian qualified digital certificates, additional password possible
• authorization: first the user requests access to new application/module/profile/role, then the application owner confirms or rejects, automatization possible
• managing hierarchy: application owner, institution supervisor, platform supervisor
• levels of granularity: application can have multiple modules/functionalities, users can have different profiles/roles within an application/module
• can neutralize the dificulties with multiple, changed or expired certificates
• can also integrate with different authentication systems (e.g. SI-CAS system)
• built-in SSO functionality: all applications using this module can use the login-sharing between applications
